Many people come to me telling me that they eat healthy but they don't get results, and that, therefore, they think something is wrong with them.
The reality is that:
1.- People have almost no concept of healthy eating, and don't take it the wrong way, it can't just be happening to you, it happens to many people.
The truth is that eating healthy not only refers to the source of your food, but also to the quantity of it, for example, have you ever wondered how many calories and macronutrients very healthy almonds or avocado have?
Well… a lot of calories and macronutrients and for a small amount of food, which means that eating something that in theory seems little at first glance, turns out to be providing a lot of calories and macronutrients without even feeling it.
This happens with many foods that you may not have a clue about.
2.- Eating too little can be causing your body to encourage the process of adaptive thermogenesis, causing your body to not perceive an optimal amount of energy, to become efficient using less energy and being able to preserve the little that comes in for vital processes, which paradoxically means that, even if you eat fewer calories you do not manage to lose weight or fat, this is a physiological defense mechanism.
3.- Free meals or cheat meals can also be taking your intake average from a supposed caloric deficit to maintenance or even surplus, given that a harmless outing to eat, with a hamburger, fries and an ice cream can easily exceed 2000 calories, which for many people can mean cancelling their attempts to lose weight or fat.
So pay attention to these tips, which can make a dramatic difference.
