Many people often come to me, telling me about their terrible experiences, some more frightening than others. In fact, some are so absurd that they're unbelievable. This often involves a diet to both lose fat and gain muscle mass.
"I CAN'T IMAGINE A DIET FOR GAINING MUSCLE MASS LESS THAN WHAT I COULD IMAGINE A PARADISE"
The main problem with diet failure is a lack of understanding of how food interacts with our bodies. This leads to widespread confusion among self-proclaimed experts, including gurus, self-taught individuals, and magazine articles, ultimately resulting in failure.
I believe it's important to first understand the basics of how our bodies function in relation to food and body composition. This knowledge will provide a solid foundation for analyzing the shortcomings of various diets.
"IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS, CALORIUM IN VERSUS CALORIUM OUT"
I don't know why there are still people who classify food as "good" or "bad", food is simply food, made up of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats), the body has a unit of energy, called calories, which are provided by food regardless of its origin or source, that is to say that carbohydrates, proteins and fat provide calories, providing 4 calories per gram of carbohydrates and proteins and 9 calories per gram for fats.
Our body in GENERAL terms works with energy balance, if you provide more calories than you need you will have a positive balance, that is, you will increase, and if you provide less than you need you will have a negative balance, that is, you will decrease.
